OVERVIEW:  Students are practicing the different parts of the AP Exam to become familiar with the format and the requirements and to help teacher identify language weaknesses and strengths.

OBJECTIVES: 1. SW apply the four communication skills as required in different AP type activities. (7.1 A, B)

                           2. SW demonstrate reading comprehension during independent reading activities (7.1 A, B)

ASSESSMENT: 1. Teacher observation of student performance – speaking and listening activities

                            2. Homework assignments collected – summaries of independent readings.

                            3. Overall performance on the different activities

NOTE:  This plan may extend to the next week depending on student needs.

1.     Go to my web page every night this week.  Click on the site for BBC NEWS .  On the left column, click on Ňlanguage focusÓ. Choose verbs.  Click. 

2.     Do a different reading/activity every night, your choice. Suggestion:  Go for the verb tenses you need to practice!  Print the activity, then check your answers. 

3.     WRITE  NO MORE THAN TWO SENTENCES ABOUT THE MAIN IDEA OR TOPIC.

4.     Turn activity in every day for credit.  No activity – NO CREDIT!
