Stephanie Dugan, Class of 2008 Favorite poem - "If I Fail"
I think it's beautiful work, and the poems can be taken in different ways. It will really make you think and want to read more.
Kymberly Douglass, class of 2008 Favorite poem- "Fallen Star" because it reminds me how people always wait to criticize someone when they make a mistake. It was a deep, meaningful book.
S.J.L., class of 2008 Favorite poem- "The Fear in the Heart of a Man." It shows the vulnerability of every man. No matter how rough on the outside, everyone has a breakable heart. This poetry book was powerful and inspiring. It made me feel that I can overcome things the way he did.
Anthony Stranoch, class of 2008 Favorite poem- "Untitled." I liked this poem because it has a very good qualty. It also shows how stuff was for 2pac. I felt like this poetry book taught me morals, at least more. The book also taught me abut Tupac's opinion of views and the way it was.
J.D., class of 2008 Favorite poem- "The Rose That Grew From Concrete." I liked it because it says that nothing is impossible, and if you do something that was thought to be impossible, not everyone will notice. I liked this book because Tupac is my favorite poet, and it shows what the poem looked like when Tupac wrote it.
Chris Danze, class of 2008 Favorite poem- "No-Win." I liked this poem because it's about not losing your shame even when you can't win. I really liked this book because it had a lot of great poems in it, and I like his music.
Mark Stansbury, class of 2008 Favorite poem- "When Ure Hero Falls." Behind closed curtains, this is about his mother (his hero) and her loss in the fight against the drug war. It used beautiful literary devices. This poetry book all-in-all had great rhyming schemes and the lines of some of the poems make me tremble from using such clever word combinations.
R.H., class of 2008 Favorite poem-"If I fail." It talks about his hard life and him believing in himself. This book talks about his hardships in his life and him failing and trying and trying again.
Stephanie Campbell, class of 2008 Favorite poem- "If There Be Pain." I like this poem because it relates to my life. I liked this book because the poems he writes are about his life and how he feels, and that's what mine are about. (Note: Stephanie's poems can be seen on the LCMR Poetry Corner)
Nathan Lewis, class of 2007 Favorite poem- "The Eternal Lament." I like this poem because of the amount of emotion and feeling that it shares with me - a way to express myself through another's similarity with feeling. I thought the book was astounding! The poetry was all heartfelt by the author, and you could really feel exactly what he was feeling at the moment his pen strewn lines across the plain scrap paper on which he composed.
Frank Eckel, class of 2008 Favorite poem- "If I Fail" because I have failed. I felt like I can relate to him. I had failed miserably a couple times and try to achieve it again.
Frank Michael Cimino,
class of 2008

Bobby Magee, class of 2008 Favorite poem- "Forever and Today." I like it because it was asking if love could die. If someone loved you, would they always love you? I like the book a lot. All the poems in it I could relate to. Tupac got very deep in his poems.
Jordan C. Saini, class of 2008 Favorite poem- "If I Fail." I love this poem because it gives inspiration to all those that might fail in their quest to achieve their goals. This is a really great poetry book. Tupac Shakur is more than just a rapper. He is a genius when it comes to poetry.
Anthony Crescenzo, class of 2008 Favorite poem- "And I Still Love You" means that even if he didn't have anything, and he had the one special person, he would be happy. The poetry of this book was real. And by real, I mean that he wrote about his real life experiences.
